Wanted to get my nose done for my 19th birthday before heading back to Ireland. It's been 3 weeks now & for someone who has sensitive skin & was worried about irritation, I gotta say they did not disappoint. Felt really welcomed & Dave (hope I'm right) did a really good job - super quick and not as much pain as I thought. Price caught me off guard a little, but it was worth it, esp for the quality of the jewellery - and the pup was a cute extra bonus! Definitely coming back here next time I'm around!!
Dave was amazing to work with! I emailed him what I wanted done and he was always so quick to reply! Him and everyone I encountered in the shop were just all so friendly and pleasant! The tattoos came out amazing and I’m so obsessed with my paulie walnuts tattoo! 10/10 recommend!
I had seen CJs work on Instagram & was extremely impressed with his line & color work specifically when it comes to traditional style tattoos. I reached out to him & he was professional & responsive which is a nice change for Instagram. Stroke of Genius is located in a very nice plaza in Boca Raton with plenty of parking & it was very easy to find. I was greeted immediately upon entering and the process of checking in was smooth. I felt welcomed & the shop was very clean & comfortable. CJ had the stencil for the tattoo ready to go on my arrival & made sure I was happy with it. He took the idea I presented to him & put his own twist on it which was very nice & what I requested. I've been getting tattooed often for 16 yrs here in South Florida & my overall experience was up there with the top experiences I've had. The pricing was fair & the quality of work was top level. If you're looking to get your first tattoo or your 100th I encourage you to reach out to CJ. I cannot speak to the quality of work from the other artists but I'd imagine it'd be quality. However, as with anything do your homework & ask questions. Remember in tattooing along with many things in life you get what you pay for.
Just went in with my 16 year old daughter as we wanted to get our nose pierced. As soon as I told the man at the desk he questioned my daughters age (completely understandable) and I answered 16 and that I made sure to bring her birth certificate. When she has got a small tattoo on her birthday I had to pay for them to do paperwork and notarize and needed birth certificate. As soon as I said that I had brought it he very condescendingly said NOPE you need to take this and get it notarized. I answered that I didn't have to go elsewhere to have that done and with an attitude he asked where I had gone and after I said in Fort Myers he said well that was illegal. Instead of explaining there policies he immediately had an attitude and was rude the entire time. When he went to hand me the paper to go get it notarized (it was 5:30pm on a Saturday) I told him nevermind and walked out. The artists may want to take a look on who they have up front as this guy has probably lost ALOT of money for you all. I don't understand why he was so rude and condescending from the start but there was absolutely no reason for it. Especially in front of my daughter who was extremely upset as we had even called first asking pricing, what we needed and if appointment needed. We drove over a half hour there to get an attitude.
I got my first tattoo there a few weeks ago and I must say, it was a great experience. The staff is good people, the shop is clean, and the tattoo came out just the way I wanted. It being my first time, I was a bit fearful of how much it was going to hurt, and honestly, it hurt less than getting botox! I will definitely be back!
