I can't say enough good things about this place. Tracy Martino is a professional and insanely great tattoo artist. He did my first tattoo and will do everyone after. The shop is clean and a fun environment. If you have patience and get approved for a tattoo here you will be blessed. Tracy Martino is great people.... good things take patience.

[Review originally posted with Full Circle II location] First off - an 11 out of 10 experience. The staff, artists, and owner (Bill Canales) were all amazing and kind people. The work they produce is top notch, and the atmosphere they provide is warm and welcoming. I travelled from Canada to get tattooed by Bill. The whole experience was phenomenal, and I will run through it from start to finish below. Booking an appointment was very smooth - initiated by email, and a phone call with Justine. Unfortunately, the COVID pandemic had other plans for the appointment and I had to cancel - they were very understanding. A year or so later I reached back out to Justine to re-book and she went above and beyond fitting me in. She understood the unfortunate nature of events, and set up everything for me. A very smooth and efficient process. The communication in between was phenomenal. Upon getting to San Diego for the tattoo, I was greeted with open arms at the Full Circle II location. The shop was very clean and has an Scandinavian vibe upon entering (a wooden clad desk with concert floors and white walls). Walking into the tattooing area, I noticed how efficient it was. Typically, shops can feel cramped, the walls plastered with art done by ambiguous names and massage tables wrapped in surgery paper clustered everywhere. Full Circle was not like this - everything felt clean and like it was placed right where it should be. Yes, there was art on the walls and tattoo tables, but the open concept and layout felt like you had room to breathe. A very comfortable space. I was introduced to Bill, who met me with a gentle handshake and a big smile. We sat and chatted for a bit, and it was clear what a good dude he was. We spoke about many things non-tattoo related and had some great conversations throughout our appointment(s). Extremely passionate about his work, and it shows. I met the other artists (Dean, James, etc.) and they displayed nothing but respect and kindness. This all made me feel comfortable and like I was in great hands. Bill free hand drew my sleeve and it was surreal. Seeing him work his magic, especially on your own skin, was akin to watching a professional musician of the highest tier play live. I was never once second guessing the freedom he was provided for the tattoo - Bill gives the confidence that even if you let him do his own thing, you will be left with a piece of art on your skin that could hold its own in an art gallery. The tattooing process is always grueling - we sat for an initial 6 hour session from the outline/shading, and one last 3 hour session for the color. It always sucks, but Bill and the crew at Full Circle checked in numerous times, making sure I was comfortable, doing well, had water/food/etc., and provided distractions (like small talk or humor). It made the whole process oddly enjoyable. Bill worked efficiently and perceivably effortlessly. I can't say I enjoy getting tattooed, but I greatly enjoyed being tattooed with Bill and the Full Circle crew by my side. Upon finishing the tattoo, Alexis took some photos. She walked me through how to show off my new sleeve to the camera with a kind and warmhearted aura. The pictures were soon posted on social media, and I could not be happier with them. They are something I now have as a reminder of the great experience I had at the shop. Everyone at Full Circle is amazing at what they do, from the receptionists, to photographer, to artists. I was hesitant to make this remark, but I think it needs to be said: Bill is very fair priced and has no right to be. Tattoos are expensive and are often paid for by the hour. Bill works at lightspeed. I am blown away that such good work can happen so fast and at such a fair price. Leaving the shop, every person made a point to say bye and to have a safe flight home. Bill even said farewell with some free items of appreciation (shirt, etc.). I left with a smile and directions to a local burrito shop (if you read this Bill, the burrito was great!).

Can’t speak highly enough of this shop! My artist was James and he is very patient, understanding, and such a blast to talk to, not to mention amazing at his craft. I don’t think I could be any happier with my new tattoos! The shop itself is very clean and the other artists are very pleasurable to talk with, overall great vibes from this place. Will definitely be back soon!

I went here for a tattoo and I left speechless. I was extremely impressed with the staff and cleanliness of the work areas. Emiliano did a fantastic job with the artwork. I couldn’t have asked for better. He was friendly and very helpful with any and all questions. I would give him more than 5 stars if I could. Definitely coming back for more.

Artists are super nice and they do consults/walk-ins on a regular basis. Brooklyn / Josh are reliable and extremely talented. 11/10 recommend if you want tattoos in SD.
