Went with my nephew for his very first tattoo. The artist (Rachel) was friendly, professional, and talented. The shop is clean, and all artists have their own style and seem to be a talented bunch. I am considering getting some of my own work done there soon.

I have had such a great experience with Jhonn! He is incredibly passionate about his work and gives such a great opportunity to express forever art on your body. The professionalism of his work gives you confidence and trust with everything that he will do for you! Overall I would recommend him to all friends and family interesting or even considering a tattoo because at the end of the day he will impress you as well as anyone that sees the art!

Best Tattoo place there is!! I don't let anyone do mine except Justin!! He has done all of mine except one and that one is faded and not as good!! Justin done my daughters first tattoo and Jordan did her second one and it's beautiful!! They stay booked but it's definitely worth the wait!! Here is a couple pics of mine and my daughters new ones!! The wrist tattoo is mine that Justin did and also it's hand drawn! The tattoo with the roses Jordan done!! So if you want a tattoo from the best call Shades of Black and make an appointment you won't be disappointed!!

Best tattoo spot in north alabama. Justin, Austin are phenomenal artist and there apprentice Nat is learning quickly and does fantastic work.

Well starting off i made an appointment for my first tattoo almost 2 weeks in advance. Then I arrive and they tell me I didnt have an appointment. I drove an hour to come here because of all the good reviews I had seen and heard. They tell me I dont have an appointment, didnt bother apologizing or even trying to work to fit me in, other than asking me if I wanna reschedule after I've already been waiting 2 weeks and drove an hour to come. They claimed they didn't have my name number or anything but I litterally sent them a text of what tattoo I wanted, got a scheduled day and time and even a price quote when I called so how did my appointment all of a sudden disappear? On top of all that an apology wouldve been nice since it was their screw up Obviously for wasting my time and gas.
